The Asian Food Channel (AFC) will soon be broadcast on HTVC, a pay TV cable network.
Asian Food Channel, a subsidiary of Scripps Networks Interactive, is Asia's first 24-hour food channel dedicated to airing the best food and lifestyle programs from around the region and the world. The program is currently broadcast by 22 television companies in 13 Asian countries.
Derek Chang, Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Scripps Networks Interactive said that AFC will produce programs presenting Vietnamese chefs and local dishes to the world.
According to Ms. Le Thi Phuong Thao, Director of Thaole Entertainment, AFC’s representative in Vietnam, the company wishes to promote Vietnamese cuisine and culture to the world via the channel. Programs introducing Vietnamese food created by winners of ‘MasterChef Vietnam’ reality television show will be kicked off in coming time.
After broadcasting on HTVC, the program will be aired on other pay-cable and satellite television networks.
