After covering a long distance, the ASEAN-India Car Rally was on schedule and went through Binh Phuoc Province on December 7.
The rally has been jointly organized by the Governments of India and other ASEAN countries and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The rally kick started in Yogyakarta City on Indonesia’s Java Island on November 26.
Lasting until December 20, the rally will cover other ASEAN countries of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

The ASEAN-India Car Rally, a transnational march to mark two decades of the India-ASEAN Dialogue Partnership, arrived in Vietnam on December 5 with 124 members representing India and eight ASEAN countries.
In Vietnam, the group made stopovers in the southern provinces of Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City. During their stay in HCMC, the crew will join activities to promote HCMC as a dynamic city and a tourist destination.
The rally will help foster friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and India, according to the Chief Minister of India’s Assam State, Tarun Gogoi.
He added that in the framework of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of activities of ASEAN-India, the Government of India in collaboration with the member countries of ASEAN organized the event.
The ASEAN-India Car Rally covers more than 8,000 km across India and eight ASEAN member countries. The parade convoy composes of 31 automobiles, originating from Indonesia and runs through other ASEAN countries and then returns to India at the exact date of the 20th anniversary of ASEAN-India summit meeting on December 20.
