While waiting for project approval, the Road Management Area III under the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam has requested the road management unit to carry out a temporary repair to ensure safety.
The Lo Xo pass, which runs for 35 kilometers, connects Quang Nam’s Phuoc Son District and Kon Tum’s Dak Glei District. The road, which has been put in operation for 22 years, has been seriously degraded and damaged, Director of the Road Management Area III Nguyen Thanh Binh said.
The Directorate for Roads of Vietnam has approved the project and is currently creating the construction design documents. The investor selection bidding for the project and the repair is expected to be carried out in April.
For the remaining damaged sections, the Road Management Area III will continue to survey and propose additional funding for maintenance and repairs to the relevant authorities.
