A meeting was held in Ho Chi Minh City on January 5 to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and the 5th anniversary of the Vietnam-India strategic partnership.
The anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties is on January 7, while the anniversary of the Vietnam-India strategic partnership is on July 6.
On the same day, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan met with Indian Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed.
The city leader said he hoped the fine development of diplomatic ties and bilateral trade cooperation between Vietnam and India, and between HCM City and India in particular, will be further strengthened.
He said he expected a direct air service between HCM City and India’s Bombay would start soon.
