The budget carrier had given certification to Hong who had experience as a deputy captain in four years accumulating 4,000 flight hours and passing a test which meets international requirements.
After graduation from French Department of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, she continued to pursue her study in Australia. Returning Vietnam, she accidentally knew the carrier to recruit people for a pilot training, she registered to take part in the course. She passed an examination to test her hearing, eyesight, coordination, and overall health; accordingly, the carrier sent her to New Zealand for pilot course.
After graduation the pilot training course in New Zealand, she officially became a commercial deputy captain on December 2013
At present, Jetstar Pacific has 41 Vietnamese pilots besides foreign peers. According to the carrier’s regulations, after a training course, each pilot must have enough 150 flight hours before becoming a deputy captain.
