After three months of injecting vaccine ComBE Five in the National Expanded Immunization Program in HCMC, 23,316 doses of vaccine have been used to inoculate infants.
Of total 23,316 doses of vaccine, 1,321 have normal reactions such as fever, swelling at the shot was given accounting for 5.7 percent equivalent to reactions after injecting vaccines against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough. No serious post-vaccination has been reported.
Also the Center said that just 5 percent of kids have been inoculated with doses of vaccine ComBE Five against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenza type B. additionally, parents of 70 percent of kids have been willing to pay for vaccine.
The center warned parents of infants to take their kids to medical centers for vaccination as per schedule.
The Prime Minister has issued the regulation to impose warning or fine of VND200,000 to VND500,000 ($8.5 to $21.3) on those who cause difficulties on using vaccine or biological products to treat infectious diseases in the National Expanded Immunization Program.
