Thanh Thuy won a double award as “Most favorite actress” in TV films and “Most favorite play actress” at the 2009 HCM City Television Awards on April 18.
At a function held at the HTV station in District 1, awards were given in music, theatre, and TV film categories based on viewers’ votes.
In the TV category, Luong The Thanh won the “Most favorite actor” award and Le Khanh took the honors as “Most favorite supporting actress.” Both became popular in the third season of the TV series “Mui Ngo Gai.”
In the theatre category, Phuong Dung won the “Most favorite comedian” award while Meritorious Artist Thanh Ngan was named the “Most favorite cai luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) artist.”
In the music category, girl band May Trang was named the “Most favorite band.”
Dan Truong became the “Most favorite male singer” for a third year in a row.
Ho Ngoc Ha was the “Most favorite female singer.”
