The event aims to mark the 93rd anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925- June 21, 2015).
According to Ho Quang Loi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalism Association and Vice Chairman of the Council of the National Press Awards 2017, the council received 1,734 submissions from 37 individuals and 118 press agencies throughout the country.
The organization board decided to award 8 A prizes, 25 B prizes, 43 C prizes and 29 consolation prizes.
12 years after the award launched, it has attracted many press agencies and journalists nationwide and become a prestigious press award in the country.
The ceremony will be broadcast live by the Vietnam Television.
