The Vietnam Tourism Association announced many tourism promotion programs in VITM 2019 at the press brief in Hanoi yesterday. According to the association, revenue of participant enterprises in the previous fair grossed up to VND320 billion ($13,785,565) statistically.
In order to achieve the global sustainable development goal 2030, “Green Tourism” has been chosen to be the main topic of VITM 2019. Deputy Chairman of the Association Vu The Binh said that 500 booths of 710 enterprises have registered for the fair so far.
This year’s fair will see the participation of 25 nations and territories, especially including tourism enterprises of North Korea and Peru.
Tourism operators will introduce green tourism products through popularizing eco-tourism, community tourism, agriculture tourism and initiatives to protect environment in the sector. It is expected that sale and purchase of tourism products will increase.
In the framework of the fair, there will be seminars and exchanges including Vietnamese tourism with industry 4.0; forum Vietnam’s Outbound tourism – Opportunities and Challenges. Meetings between international tourism agencies are scheduled to push cooperation in tourism industry.
