The festival, funded mainly by sponsors, will be held in the Mekong Delta Province of Tien Giang and will include 700 stalls showcasing a host of domestic fruits.

The event will also offer seminars on new opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese fruit growers; eco-tourism in relation to domestic fruit growing; and enhancing the value of Vietnamese fruit.

In addition, the festival will feature culture and art programs related to the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi; the largest map of Vietnam to be made out of fruit; and the country’s longest dragon drawn in graffiti art.

Visitors can also sample a variety of unique fruit dishes; attend a competition for the most safe and delicious fruit; and take in a firecracker show.
