Initiated by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), it involves participating people and organizations turning off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances for an hour.

In Vietnam, the WWF and the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change is calling on all the people, organizations and businesses in the country to participate in the campaign from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 27.

The campaign this year aims to attract 20 cities and provinces, compared to just six cities nationwide last year.

It will be a major event in HCMC with the attendance of famous artists and the Earth Hour Goodwill Ambassador.
