Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong on Monday paid an official visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The General Secretary had been invited by Laos’ President and Choummaly Sayasone, who is also General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, and his wife.
The visit is accompanied by Mr. Trong’s lady and leading officials from Vietnam.
Many investments from Vietnam have been poured into Laos. According to experts, Laos and Cambodia are two markets that Vietnamese firms can invest in easily.
