VASEP forecasts $7 billion seafood exports

Vietnam’s seafood exports are forecast to hit US$7 billion this year, an increase of 5 percent over last year, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.

Export value growth of items like shrimps and octopus might touch 120 percent to the US market, 108 percent to the South Korea and 109 percent to Switzerland.

 

Shrimp products are expected to bring about $3.5 billion and octopus $470 million.
