Provincial People’s Committee yesterday awarded certificate of merit to student Nguyen Hoang Minh Vu who attempted to save a man's life from a serious traffic accident when Vu came across the accident spot in Ho Xuan Huong Street on April 2 at 6 PM.
At the time, many drivers crossing the traffic scene but none of them tried to help the traffic victim. Freshman Vu stopped to take the old man to the nearby infirmary for emergency treatment. Thanks to his timely assistance, the old man was saved and he was discharged later.
