Nguyen Phuong Thao and Pham Duc Anh who won chemistry golden medals from international competitions were honored and given Third Labor Medal. Both of them are students of Senior High School for gifted students.
Eight other students received the Prime Minister’s certificates of merit and the rest received Education Minister’s certificate of merit.
In 2018, 38 students of seven teams for Olympiad and international competitions won 13 Gölden Medals, 14 Silver Medals and 11 Bronze Medals. Especially, Nguyen Phuong Thao won the highest scores in the international Biology Olympiad amongst 261 participants. She was given the tittle the First Winner.
This is the first time the Vietnamese team won the highest score the in international biology Olympiad.
From 2014 to 2018, Vietnam has participated in 187 international Olympiad and bagged 60 golden medals, 78 silver medals, 40 bronze medals and nine certificates of merit.
