Trading volume on the city bourse recovered from the lowest level this year to 28.57 million shares worth VND686 billion, an increase of 20 percent in volume and 7 percent in value over the previous day.
Of the index, 30 stocks advanced, 185 dropped, while 51 remained unchanged.
Ocean Group Joint Stock Company (OGC), which saw 1.46 million shares changing hands, was the most active shares in volume today.
It was followed by Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank or Sacombank (STB) with 1.35 million shares.
Investment and Trading of Real Estate Joint Stock Company (ITC) came next with 929,510 shares traded.

Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (SGT) declined the fourth day, contracting 4.73 percent to VND14,100.
AgriBank Securities Joint Stock Corporation (AGR) reversed previous loss of 3.31 percent, adding 4.27 percent to trade at VND12,200.

The northern bourse fell for four consecutive trading sessions, losing 1.45 points, or 1.2 percent, to finish at 119.81 points. Liquidity improved by 20 percent over the previous session to 23 million shares, worth VND526 billion.
The UPCoM-Index slid 0.24 points to 44.31. A total of 100,000 shares changed hands at VND1.3 billion as of 11:15 am local time.
