The 2-day event has the participation of 25 ethnic communities of 17 provinces.
A wide range of activities will be held to honor cultural identities of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups at the festival, such as the Tet tree-planting festival, food fair, a revival of the Aza koonh festival of Ta Oi ethnic group, “Tet nhay” (dancing festival) of the Dao ethnic people, art performances, and distinctive folk games and traditional dishes of the ethnic groups.
The annual event held by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism to celebrate the cultural heritage of all ethnic groups in Vietnam.
On the same day, the traditional god fish procession festival of Muong ethnic people was held in Thanh Hoa province’s Cam Thuy district.
The ceremony is related to the God Fish Stream in Cam Luong commune. The stream of “sacred fish” is home to thousands of fish and a fascinating tourism destination in the province.
