The efforts aims to create more jobs for local people.

However, its seafood export turnover reduced over six percent compared to the same period due to the influence of technological barrier from European and American markets, causing difficulties and challenges for the Mekong Delta province.
Currently, the Soc Trang Industry and Trade Department in collaboration with relevant departments and agencies have strengthened assistances for the local enterprises in many fields, aiming to promote production and export, help shrimp farmers achieve high- profits.
