Total loan turnover in 2018 reached over VND62 trillion allocated for loans for more than 2.1 million poverty-stricken households, near-poor households and social welfare brackets .
So far, social policy credit has aided more than 300,000 poor households to escape poverty as well as provide production capital and employment for over 245,000 laborers.
Moreover, more than 6,000 people can work overseas thanks to the bank’s help. Plus, around 51,000 college students from low-income families have borrowed loans from the bank.
The bank has also given money to build over 1.3 million fresh water supply and toilet construction in rural districts as well as around 32,800 charitable houses for destitute people.
