Over 1 mil graders to sit for national high school graduation exam

Reporting at the government’s annual session on June  29, Education Minister Pham Vu Luan said that over a million high school students across Vietnam will take part in the national high school graduation exam from July 1 to 4, organized at 99 sites throughout the nation.

72 percent of the total number of twelfth graders sits for the examination for graduation and for recruitment into universities.

Until now, everything for the examination was prepared as scheduled. Education Minister said that teachers and supervisors are trained to do their best in the examination.

The education sector received huge assistance of all sectors. Most of chairpersons of people’s committees will tour sites where the examination takes place. Unions and association provide free meals and lodges for examination participants.

Many localities and enterprises contributed money to help disadvantaged students nationwdie to attend the examination.

The examination is prepared carefully, said Education Minister at the government’s session as this is the first examination for senior high school graduation and university recruitment this year.

At present, deputy ministers of education toured to sites to check the preparation works. Minister Luan is planned to come over localities for checking right after the session.
