Oktoberfest 2017 to take place in HCMC & Hanoi

The German Business Association (GBA) and the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam) this morning held a press meeting in HCMC to introduce the Oktoberfest 2017 & to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of hosting the GBA Oktoberfest in Vietnam.

This year’s GBA Oktoberfest will be launched in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi capital. As scheduled, the event will take place from September 21 to 23 at Hotel Nikko Saigon, HCMC and from October 5 to 7 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi.  

Mr. Marko Walde, Chairman of GBA & chief representative of GIC/AHK said  “We expect to welcome from 1,200 – 1,500 guests per event night. That sums up to a crowd of total more than 8,000 guests attending the GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam 2017 in both cities”

It is a well-organized event that allows individuals’ and businesses’ real personalities and values’ to shine through in lively and enjoyable circumstances”, added Mr. Marko. 

Oktoberfest is not just another beer fest but has more than 184-year tradition. The event is celebrated worldwide by everyone who loves German culture and tradition.

The first Oktoberfest was held in 1992 and immediately set a new milestone in Vietnam’s social calendar. Throughout the last 25 years, the traditional German atmosphere and spirit has increased, providing both Vietnamese and foreigners alike with a festive Oktoberfest experience.
