NA delegates will put forward questions concerning pressing social issues to Health Minister Nguyễn Thị Kim Tiến and Interior Minister Nguyễn Thái Bình.

The Health Minister will answer questions on medical ethics and measures to develop human resources for the medical sector, while the Interior Minister will reply to questions on recruitment, training, and policies for State workers, while also offering solutions for improving the capacity and building of grassroots level administration.

The question time meeting will be broadcast live on National Television.

The National Assembly Standing Committee is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from March 19-21 to discuss the issuing of government bonds and the human resources programme for national development; the Law against money laundering; and the Law on ensuring deposit money, among many other issues.

The Prime Minister also instructed the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to prepare the government’s report on the plan to establish a fishing management agency.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will present the draft Law of the Sea at the session.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has instructed relevant parties about the upcoming launch of the programme called "Citizens Ask-Ministers Answer".

Thus, a weekly forum for citizens to question Government cabinet members will take place on Vietnam Television and the Government website.

"The forum must rely on quality in informing the public on issues related to ministerial responsibilities," the PM said.

"Citizens ask-Ministers answer" is expected to keep the public posted on new policies, strategies and Government directions in an effort to improve State management.

According to PM Dung, previous online dialogues between ministers and citizens via the Government website kept the country informed and created a consensus in society.

As planned, the programme will be broadcast in 5-7 minute slots every Sunday evening. Central and local TV channels will serve as additional platforms for the new initiative.

People are called upon to start sending their questions to the email address danhoibotruong@chinhphu.vn
