Finance and construction ministers are expected to answer questions about curbing inflation and apartment building management at the 29th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee in Hanoi on March 15-19.
Finance minister Vu Van Ninh will be questioned on issues relating to price management, measures to curb inflation, issuance and use of funds raised from Government bonds, capital and assets of state-owned enterprises, reasons for-and consequences of price hikes of essential goods like gasoline, power and coal.
The minister will also have to explain the ministry’s responsibility for losses by Pacific Airlines.
Construction minister Nguyen Hong Quan is expected to answer questions about the ministry’s management of apartment buildings, new urban areas, construction safety, and results of implementing the Government’s policy on building houses for the poor and low-income earners.
