The program aims to give 2,100 gifts; 100 bank saving passbooks; 1,500 Luong Dinh Cua scholarships and 300 farming tools; total cost of gifts is VND12 billion ($517,087).
The charity program was first organized in 2008 with the name “ Cay mai mua xuan “ ( Apricot blossom tree in spring) in the form of auction ornamental trees.
Through 11 years, benefactors have contributed VND84.8 billion to the program. The Association has taken care of 46,890 poor and near-poor family members as well as built 1,256 charitable houses; 14,138 gifts; 2,233 water tanks; 20,894 health insurance cards; 143 bank saving books; 417 production tools and 6,608 Luong Dinh Cua scholarships to children of low-income families.
