The Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, on February 16 announced at a press briefing the national quality gold and silver awards in recognition of their excellent production, business operation and service quality in 2011.

Under a decision of the Prime Minister, 96 enterprises were awarded including 11 national quality gold prizes and 85 silver prizes.
The 11 gold prize winners include Thien Long in Ho Chi Minh City), Trung Nguyen Coffee in the central province of Dak Lak, Pioneer Plastic in the northern province of Hai Phong, Chemical 21 in the northern province of Phu Tho, POMINA Steel in the southern province of Binh Duong, Niem Tin Viet (Vietnamese Trust) in the northern province of Bac Ninh, Nam Duoc (Vietnamese Pharmaceutical) in the northern province of Nam Dinh, Minh Dung Seafood and Animal Medicine in the southern province of Binh Duong, PVC – FECON Pre-Stressed Concrete ( in the northern province of Ha Nam, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Drainage and Urban Development and Bình Vinh Company in the central city of Da Nang.
The Ministry of Science and Technology also announced Minh Long Company and Robot Investment Company were given International Asia Pacific Quality Awards by the International Asia Pacific Quality Organization.
