The Quang Binh Province People’s Committee handed VND22 billion (more than US$1 million) and 2,000 tons of rice as relief to flood victims the central province on Tuesday.

Around VND50 million (US$2,500) was collected from the staff of the Dong Tam Nutrition Food Joint-Stock Company (Nutifood) for support disaster victims in the central region.
Ho Chi Minh City’s Nguyen Trai University donated 39 double beds worth over VND60 million.
More than 6,500 members of 200 Volunteer Youth Teams will help the flood victims in cleaning and rebuilding damaged houses and schools, as well as implementing sanitization of the work environment in Nghe An Province.
The Ho Chi Minh City Health Department also delegated 16 doctors to give free medications to over 6,000 residents in the most heavily damaged places including Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc in Nghe An Province.
On October 26, deputy chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province, Ho Quoc Dung, visited and gave VND18 million to Ms.Nguyen Thi Bao’s family, whose sons Nguyen Van Trong, 26, and Nguyen Duy Thanh, 17, were killed by floodwaters on October 23.
Dengue fever has spread rapidly in the Quang Nam Province with more than 2,000 cases, reported director of the provincial Preventive Medicine Center.
