A Vietnamese candidate at the Miss Earth 2007 pageant won the Miss Fashion Title after a three-day leg held in Viet Nam’s Nha Trang Town concluded last night. Three other beauties were also awarded.
Truong Tri Truc Diem, exclusive model of Ho Chi Minh City-based PL Company, won the fashion category while Brazil’s contestant Patricia Silve Ferreira Andrade grabbed the Best in Ao Dai [Vietnam traditional long gown] Title and Korean Ji Eun Yoo Miss Charm Title.
Miss Fitness belonged to Peru’s 20-year-old Odilia Pamela Garcia Pineda who is 1.78m tall and boasts an impressive 90-63-91 BWH measurement. This prize was announced after a bikini contest.
The contest began with 30 beauties in traditional dresses introducing themselves to around 1,000 audiences at Vinpearl Land Resort in both English and their native languages and ended with an evening dress contest.
Vietnam’s Diem who wore an ao dai made from white silk later had the gown auctioned for $7,000 which she has donated to charity.
The Title “Miss Beauty for a Cause” will be announced in Philippines’ Manila on November 11.
Ramon Monzon, Miss Earth pageant’s president told the press “it [Vietnam leg] has been a success.”
