Vocational training in rural areas through the next year will focus on churning out fishing-vessel captains and chief engineers, veterinarians, and agriculturists, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Cao Duc Phat has said.
Speaking at a meeting to review vocational training in rural areas, he added that people would be trained to become cooperative heads to lead the 10,000 cooperatives in the country.
The Ministry has also proposed that the government should fund and support training programs to enable farmers to learn other vocations so that the rural economic structure can be changed.
