Milk given freely to 40,000 kids across country

The Stand Tall Vietnam Milk Fund yesterday offered 80,000 glass of milk worth VND500 million (US$22,485) to students of Ninh Xuan primary  school in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

The Stand Tall Vietnam Milk Fund yesterday offered 80,000 glass of milk worth VND500 million (US$22,485) to students of Ninh Xuan primary  school in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

The province is the first location in the journey of the milk fund across the country for the year. 800 students of the school from low-income families benefited the fund.

In 2016, the fund planned to give an amount of milk worth VND22.5 billion (US$1,009,150) to 40,000 kids in 40 cities and provinces across the country.

All of the amount of milk will be given to centers which raise orphans, disabled kids, social sponsoring centers and primary school in distant and disadvantaged district in the country. Kids have chance to drink milk in three months.

Founded in 2008, the Stand Tall Vietnam Milk Fund (through a collaboration of Vinamilk and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) has given more than 373,000 children from low-income family nationwide.
