The 9th Lawrence S.Ting charity walk will take place at Ho Ban Nguyet (Crescent Lake) in District 7 at 6:30am on January 11, with aiming to raise fund for disadvantaged people, announced by Phu My Hung Corporation on December 26.
This charity walk has currently attracted totally 11,500 registers from businesses and organizations in HCMC. Through the meaningful activity, the organizers received over VND 1, 2 billions from charity donations.
The 9th Lawrence S.ting Charity Walk is as part of campaign "For Poor People" launched by Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee.
In the past eight years, the total money raised from this event was VND 2, 4 billions that was transferred to poor people in District 7, District 8, Binh Chanh District and Nha Be District in HCMC.
"Beside Lawrence S.Ting charity walk, Phu My Hung Corporation has also organized many meaningful events such as Lawrence S.Ting scholarship for students, offering wheelchairs to people with disabilities" said Nguyen Buu Hoi, Deputy General Director of Phu My Hung Corporation.
The annual Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk is one of the meaningful activities to support poor people, on occasion of Lunar New Year.
