One of the most successful Korean girlband in Asia, Girls’ Generation (SNSD) will travel to Hanoi a charity concert which will be held at National Convention Center in Hanoi on April 1.
The Korean male band, NCT 127 and the leader of South Korean boy group Super Junior, Lee Teuk, will be also on stage in the performance.
Girls' Generation, also known as SNSD, is one of the leading music bands of South Korea. Formed in 2007, it was originally a 9 member idol girl group. Currently, after Jessica left in 2014, the group is made up of 8 members, including Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun.
The single "Gee", that was released in 2009, claimed the top spot on KBS's Music Bank for a record-breaking nine consecutive weeks and was named the most popular song of the 2000s in South Korea by Melon.
The NCT 127 based in Seoul made their debut in 2016. The group received "Best Newcomer" awards from the Mnet Asian Music Awards,Golden Disk Awards and Seoul Music Awards in 2016. The the second mini-album by NCT 127, Limitless , was a commercial success topping the Gaon Album Chart and Billboard's US World Albums Chart .
The concert aims to call on people to raise fund for disadvantaged Korean-Vietnamese families and typical young people and mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The show is organized by the South Korean Embassy in Hanoi and the Vietnamese ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
