Japan – Vietnam Festival comes back in Ho Chi Minh City

The sixth Japan – Vietnam Festival with the  theme “Holding Hands Tightly” was opened at September 23th Park in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of the organizing board from Japan Mr. Tsutomo Takebe said that the activities of the Japan - Vietnam festival in previous years contributed to enhancement of cultural  exchange as well as propaganda of mutual cultural tradition between the two countries, and opened many cooperation opportunities in the fields of agriculture, education and tourism of the two countries.

With the theme “Holding Hands Tightly”, the cultural festival was expected continued to create interesting experiences in order to increase understanding about the Japanese country, culture and people.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said that seminars on tourist and agriculture take place with the festival framework which will create connection and benefits for the two sides’ people and businesses. 

Exhibitions on Japanese products, Japanese localities’ specialties, Japanese tourism promotion program and art performances of many famous singers and artists from Vietnam and Japan are also held at the event. 

The festival has lasted through Saturday and Sunday.
