The Vietnam Innovation Yellow Book is the joint responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), and related agencies, members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Published for the first time in 2016, the series of Vietnam Innovation Yellow Book aims at honoring and popularizing scientific and technological innovations of the Vietnamese working in the country as well as abroad. It focuses on the fields of economic development, national defense and construction.
Each year, the number of innovative projects or solutions being chosen is in accordance with the number of year for the anniversary of National Day.
During these three years, the selection and compilation stage has always ensured transparency, democracy, and objectivity while fully honoring the intellectual property right of each project’s author (or group of authors). This task has also strictly complied with the law.
The 2019 Vietnam Innovation Yellow Book encompasses scientific-technological projects that won awards at contests held by ministries, sectors, Vietnam Fatherland Front member organizations, and provinces or municipalities from January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2019 (excluding those appearing in the 2017 and 2018 versions of the Book).
The committee is going to choose 74 most prominent projects to include in this year’s version, which is expected to debut in August 2019.
The selection criteria for this year will focus more on the feasibility aspect of nominated projects in mountainous regions in order to foster innovation in the local communities there.
This activity is also to celebrate the Ninth National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term from 2019 – 2024.
