HCMC Orchid Festival attracts 90,000 visitors

Around 2,000 foreigners among 90,000 visitors attended in the Ho Chi Minh City Orchid Festival 2019, according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City.

On average, the festival received around 15,000- 20,000 people per day. 

Additionally, the five- day festival also had the participation of 1,000 artisans, gardeners, flower farmers, floral enterprises, bonsai experts and orchid lovers from the city and other localities. 

Within the framework of orchid exhibition, the organization board also held contests of orchid design, flower arrangement and miniature landscapes with the participation of hundreds of individuals and teams. 

The winner of miniature landscapes contest belonged to an orchid gardener from Ho Chi Minh City. 

The HCMC Orchid Festival is not only an opportunity for flower lovers to exchange and learn experiences but also one of the activities to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30) and May Day.
