Vientiane Vice Mayor Dr Anouphap Tounalom hoped there will be seminars between People's Councils of the two cities to share the experiences in people’s council work.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairwoman of the HCMC People’s Council Nguyen Thi Le said that HCMC has made efforts to further enhance friendship and cooperation with Vientiane, and contribute to the development of the traditional relations and solidarity between people of Vietnam and Laos.
The HCMC delegation also had a meeting with Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou on the same day.
At the reception, the Lao host wished the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City will give experience in clarifying provincial-level legal documents; and managing and implementing policies on land and real estate, increasing state budget revenue.
The delegation then visited and presented gifts to students of the Vientiane-Ho Chi Minh City friendship school.
On July 24, the municipal delegation started a working visit to Laos. Senior officials of Ho Chi Minh City had meetings with Mayor of Vientiane city Sinlavong Khutphaythun and the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos.
