The Department was assigned to implement the decision. The Departments of Transport; Culture and Sports; Industry and Trade and related agencies together supervise the advertisement on public buses.

They are also responsible for inspecting and collecting fee.

Additionally, 20 percent of fleets of buses must be for publicizing information of politics. Open bidding should be carried out to select a company to manage all subsidized and unsubsidized buses. The time for placing adverts on buses is three years with adjustable cost.

The Department of Transport said that during the pilot period, 171 subsidized buses running in ten routes have earned VND14.6 billion for the state budget, an increase of 40 percent compared toits target.
As scheduled, the city will collect VND170 billion ($7,478,585) a year if 3,000 buses are put on advertising, helping to reduce the subsidized cost on buses.
