Phong held that Vietnamese people’s warm sentiments towards Polish people are an important foundation for the two countries to forge stronger bilateral economic, trade, and cultural cooperation in the future.
He described President Duda’s visit to Vietnam as an important milestone in the all-round partnership between Poland and Vietnam in general and between the country and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
As the biggest economic hub of Vietnam, the city always welcomes Polish investors and is willing to foster economic, trade and investment collaboration with Poland, he stated.
For his part, President Andrzej Duda said he was impressed by HCM City’s dynamic development, stressing that Poland is interested in the Vietnamese southern metropolis and has selected the city to locate the first representative office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
The leader expressed his hope that following his visit, Poland and Vietnam, including HCM City, will make greater efforts to enhance the two countries’ relations across fields.
The visit is also expected to help create more cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese and Polish businesses, he added.
While in HCM City, the President and his spouse attended the Vietnam-Poland Economic Forum and the inaugural ceremony of the representative office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, and visited several historical relic sites in the city.
Later on the day, President Andrzej Duda left Ho Chi Minh City, successfully concluding his State visit to Vietnam from November 27-30.
