Immigrants will no longer need to fulfill the immigration declaration form after border gates have been equipped with passport -reading machines and link to the Internet, according to a decree issued by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday.

The PM also asked the Minister of Defense to collaborate with Ministers of Finance and Public Security to urgently equip passport -reading machines and internet access at border gates.

Additionally, the Minister of Defense must issue the new form of immigration declaration to use at border gates that have not yet been modernized.

However, the Minister of Finance must promulgate form of financial declaration after deleting immigration declaration form because the deleted form includes financial assertion.

The cut of the immigration declaration form is one of the attempts by the government, aiming to simplify administration procedures and draw up more tourists to the country.
