Food Administration takes back substandard batches of nutrition supplements

Concerning to food safety regulations, the Vietnam Food Administration under the Ministry of Health yesterday ordered to remove two batches of nutrition supplement that failed to meet safe standards.

Concerning to food safety regulations, the Vietnam Food Administration under the Ministry of Health yesterday ordered to remove two batches of nutrition supplement that failed to meet safe standards.

The batches of low quality nutrition supplement produced by Phap USA ( France-USA) Pharmaceutical Company at 24T Nguyen Huy Tuong Street in Hanoi’s Thanh Xuan District.

The administration decided to remove from the market two batches of supplements shown to be unsafe or improperly manufactured. The two batches of nutrition supplement are Amkazym with batch number 770615, manufactured on June 6, 2015 and Men TH Biotyl with batch number 280714 manufactured on July 18, 2014.

Additionally, the violating company was asked to re-correct labels on four other batches of nutrition supplements.

The administration also sent its documents to departments of health across the country, asking to issue penalties on food safety violation.
