Flag-hoisting ceremony for navy’s sailing ship held in Nha Trang

A flag-raising ceremony for the 286 Le Quy Don sailing ship was held in Nha Trang City in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on March 10 by the Vietnamese Navy High Command.

The sailing ship was built at the Marine Projects shipyard in Poland over one year ago and arrived in Nha Trang port on January 27.

The sailing vessel with 67m long and 10.50m wide has a total area of 1,400 sq m sail area. It weighs 857 metric tones and has three 40-metre high masts.

The vessel which was docked at the port of the Vietnam Naval Academy in Nha Trang City will be used for training and international exchanges.
