The display presents to visitors 100 oil and watercolors paintings recording the land, people, daily life and natural landscapes of different areas of the Soviet Union by painter Tran Quan Ngoc. Exhibits were created when the painter was studying and working in the Soviet Union (1954-1972).
Painter Tran Quan Ngoc was born in 1938 in Hanoi. He is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.He graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Faculty of Painting and History at the Moscow State V. I. Lenin Pedagogical Institute, now the Moscow State Pedagogical University, in 1967.
This display is his 8th solo exhibition, including the two shows in Russia in 1965 and 1967. He has also participated in many exhibitions with other artists. His artworks are in the collection of collectors at home and abroad, such as Russia, the US, France, Sweden and Denmark.
Tran Quan Ngoc is also an authors of more than 20 books, including Vong quanh nuoc My (around the U.S), Leo nui Phu Si (climbing mount Fuji), Nhung nguoi ban quoc te cua Bac Ho (Uncle Ho’s international friends), Theo buoc chan Nguoi (Following in the footsteps of Uncle Ho).
