EVN borrows EUR2.4 million for solar power construction project

Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has announced to borrow the French Development Agency (AFD) a loan of EUR2.4 million for the construction of the Se San 4 solar power plant with a capacity of 49MWp.

EVN Deputy General Director Nguyen Xuan Nam and Country Director of the Agency French Development (AFD) in Vietnam Remi Genevey signed a credit agreement for a solar power plant project.
The EUR2.4 million loan without government guarantee will be used to finance the Se San 4 solar power plant in the area of the Se San 4 hydropower plant in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai. AFD also pledged to sponsor the project’s Engineering Procurement and Construction.
Additionally, AFD was committed to loans without government guarantee for the expansion of Yaly hydropower project and the Southern Power Corporation’s power grid construction project in the South and release renewable output sources.
Moreover, it is also considering a loan for the expanded Hoa Binh hydropower plant project.
