The preschool is the only non-public school in the city to keep workers’ children overtime as per their parents’ shifts. In the academic year 2017-2018, the school admitted 700 kids whose parents are working in Pou Yuen Company.
Accordingly, the deputy minister proposed the school expanding its facility to keep children of workers who have no choice but send children to unsafe household daycare center.
In the meeting with school management board, Ms. Nghia shared difficulties school is encountering. Additionally, she asked the local administration to review demand to open more class to keep workers’ children to help them feel ensured at work.
