Of these, preparation for the project to upgrade Quan Lo-Phung Hiep road face has basically been done. It is expected to break ground in the fourth quarter this year and be built in the following year.
The project to improve Highway 53’s Tra Vinh-Long Toan stretch with the total capital of VND1,202 billion (US$51.77 million) is scheduled to start construction in October this year. Currently relevant sides are rushing to solve few small problems to start the work as per schedule.
Afterwards, the ministry will implement two important projects including the one to upgrade Highway 30’s Cao Lanh-Hong Ngu section with the total capital of VND800 billion ($34.46 million). The other is to improve Highway 57’s section from Dinh Khao ferry in Vinh Long province to Mo Cay town in Ben Tre province with the total funds of VND875 billion.
In order to implement the four projects and other nationwide traffic projects on schedule, the ministry required investors, Project Management Board to intensify inspecting work quality, speed up construction progress and disbursement in the last four months of 2019.
In case that projects or bid packages are unable to meet the schedule, there should be measures to handle the issue and replace contractors if necessary.
