City leaders visit families under preferential treatment policy

A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s officials led by Secretary of the City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan on July 24 visited Vietnamese heroic mother, war veterans, wounded soldiers and families of martyrs on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).
The head of the Party committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers Le Thi Cach; Ms. Tran Thi Que and Nguyen Van Loi whose are relatives of martyrs; wounded soldiers Tran Cong Hieu and Dinh Cong Dac; former Vice Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant-General Phan Trung Kien.
He expressed deep gratitude to the heroic mother, wounded soldiers and martyrs for their great contribution and sacrifice towards the cause of national liberation and reconstruction. He wished them good health and a long life, and asked the local authorities to take care of the mothers and help improve their lives.
The delegation also visited all staff and soldiers of the level-2 field hospital of UN peacekeeping operations and Military Hospital 175.
