Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairwoman of the City People’s Council Nguyen Thi Le visited and gave mid-autumn gifts to children whose father or mother died due to Covid-19 in Tan Thanh Dong and Binh My Commune of Cu Chi District. The leader sent her condolence to the unfortunate families amid the ongoing pandemic wave, and she hoped that they will soon overcome the current difficulties.
On the occasion, the chairwoman also required the local authorities to be extremely concerned about those kids as well as assist needy pupils and residents affected by Covid-19, especially to create favorable conditions for the children to soon go back to school. In Binh Chanh District, Head of the Propaganda and Education Board of the City Party Committee Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue paid a visit and handed over mid-autumn gifts to orphaned children living in Binh Chanh and Tan Kien Commune and Tan Tuc town. He encouraged and wished those kids to soon lessen the sadness to get ready for the new academic year.

On the same day, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the city's Party Committee Le Thanh Liem, Head of the HCMC Party Committee's Inspection Commission Duong Ngoc Hai and Deputy Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Hoa Binh respectively visited, presented mid-autumn gifts to orphans in Binh Thanh District and districts of 7, 10.
Deputy Chairmen of the City People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc, Vo Van Hoan and Ngo Minh Chau also visited and presented gifts to children orphaned by Covid-19 in Go Vap, Tan Binh District and District 6 on the Mid-autumn festival.
