Saigon Securities Incorporation (SSI) on August 6 sought for the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange approval to extend its Q2/2012 consolidated financial statements to August 31, 2012.

The firm has to gather financial statements of many subsidiaries and associated companies, which are also the parent company of several other companies and whose Q2 consolidated financial reporting period coincides with SSI. Therefore, SSI has to wait for these firms to announce their consolidated financial statements so that it can have the necessary data to complete its consolidated financial statements for Q2/2012.

According to Article 5.2 of Circular No. 52/2012/TT-BTC dated April 5, 2012, the proposal for information disclosure extension of SSI must be approved in writing by the State Securities Commission (SSC) and SSI must disclose the financial statements immediately after receiving the opinion of the SSC on this issue.

Vu Ngoc Le, head of the Board of Supervisors of Camau Frozen Seafood Processing Import Export Corporation (CMX), registered to buy 1,850,916 shares, or 14 percent stake from August 10 to September 10 to become a major shareholder of the firm.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh, chairman cum CEO of SMC Investment Trading JSC (SMC), bought 273,730 shares out of 400,000 shares registered to buy from July 4 to August 3, raising her holdings to 4,881,973 shares, or 16.54 percent stake.

COTEC Investment & Land-house Development Joint Stock Company (CLG) announced that it appointed Nguyen The Thanh, vice chairman as its new CEO from August 6, 2012, replacing Trinh Xuan Ha, who was promoted to   deputy CEO of Technical Construction & Building Materials JSC, the parent company of CLG.
