British Council launches English competition for high school students

To mark the London 2012 Games, British Council HCMC has announced the launch of an online English Competition ‘Stand out from the crowd’ for Vietnamese high school students in Ho Chi Minh City.

The first prize will offer a young student the opportunity to experience the UK first hand through a full 4-week summer course scholarship to the UK valued at VND120,000,000 covering course fees, meals and accommodation, return flight ticket and a full cultural programme which includes visits to famous UK cities such as London, Cambridge and Edinburgh. 

Other prizes to the value of VND200,000,000 are also being offered.

The competition consists of 3 rounds, starting with an on-line quiz from March 12 and ending on May 13with an exciting ‘game show’.

Students logging on to www.thitienganh.vn will not only be able to enter the competition but will have a chance to improve their English, exchange English tips & ideas with other students and find out whether their English skills really do make them ‘Stand out from the crowd’
