The award-winning works were chosen from 210 submissions by lecturers, teachers and postgraduates in 2016 nationwide under the National Key Program of the Development of Mathematics in Vietnam from 2010 to 2020. Winners received a cash prize of VND30.25 million.
They had been publicized in international mathematics journals which are in the list of Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). The mathematics awards aim to contribute to the building and development the national mathematics to integrate with the world maths and improve mathematics research and teaching at universities, schools and academies.
In addition, the awarding committee also presented scholarships to 482 students of the department of mathematics of universities and high-schools across the country with a total cash prize of VND7.92 billion.
Launched in 2012, the National Key Program of the Development of Mathematics in Vietnam from 2010 to 2020 has honored 356 mathematics works of 742 authors with a total of VND10 billion. The organizer also offered scholarships worth VND33.8 billion to 4.304 student of universities and high-schools.
