Airport websites attacked by hackers through security loopholes

Vietnamese tech firm Bkav said that websites of airports Tan Son Nhat in HCMC, Rach Gia in the southern province of Kien Giang and the central province of Tuy Hoa were hacked on March 8 and 9.

Bkav experts said that the hackers’ intention merely seemed to be pointing out security loopholes in the airport’s website for administration rights.

Ngo Tuan Anh from Bkav said that these loopholes exist because the airports did not check regularly and programmers were short of security programming.

As per Bkav’s study, up to 40 percent of websites in Vietnam have loopholes.
